CROSSROADS is an Italian music production team consisting of Paolo Rey and Alex De Ponti. Both are Italian DJs with a soul-funk and disco background and in the last few years they’ve made quite a name for themselves with their own spin on the genres. You may have fond memories of their version of Grey & Hanks; 70s disco classic If You’re In Need’ from last year.
For their latest single, the team have opted for another cover – their take on Chas Jankel’s 1986 ‘You’re My Occupation’. On that one the vocal was down to Brenda Jones. For their new tweak the Crossroads team (assisted by ace procedure Max Greco), put newcomer CLER at the mic. The young lady has quite a range and makes the insistent song her own. Out now!
