Sometime lead singer with the Village People, VICTOR WILLIS impressed proper soul buffs with his autumn 2015 single ‘Follow Through’. The old school ballad was taken from Vic’s up-coming long player, ‘Solo Man’.
We’re told that the album is absolutely imminent. And yes, it’s been a long time coming (he started work on it in the 70s!) but to keep appetites whetted, label Harlem West Music are promoting another of the set’s big ballad tracks…. ‘Yes I Can’.
Boasting a full production, the dramatic ballad is a million miles from stuff like ‘YMCA’ and ‘In The Navy’ and we can recommend the tune to connoisseurs of passionate soul performances and old –fashioned sentiment!
