Trained at Berklee College, CLIFF BEACH is a Washington DC- born indie soul, jazz and gospel singer/songwriter and writer. He debuted in 2013 with the imaginatively titled EP, ‘Who The Funk Is Cliff Beach?’ which was followed by another EP, 2022’s ‘Son Of A Beach’! Then came a February ’24 album tribute to the music of Ella Fitzgerald.
Hot on the heels of that one, Mr B is preparing the release of another LP – ‘Beach Please’, due October 18th via Color Red. In the meantime, we can enjoy the set’s first single – a vigorous, punchy, funky, bass-heavy ‘The Work’. The song is all about hard work and getting what you want by having a go-getter attitude – put your head down, make the effort, and relentlessly hustle to achieve your dreams! The soundscape and vocal match the urgency of that message!
Cliff says: “I try to bring a creative mindset to all aspects of work. And like Mary Poppins, I try to find fun and gamify work. But I believe in a solid work ethic where you get what you put in there and exponentially, you get more out of it—you gotta prime the pump.” Now you know!
