Kentucky’s JESSIE LAINE POWELL impressed the soul community with her September album, ‘My Love Journey’ . The 12 tracker was a delightful collection that effortlessly mixed smooth jazz and sophisticated soul.
One of the focus cuts was the opening track, the finger-clickingly good. ‘Fire And Ice’ which featured some sparkling piano from GAIL JHONSON (yes, that’s the spelling). Between them Gail and Jessie crafted a classy piece of sophisticated sweet soul – so good, that Jesse’s team have just released it as a stand alone single that’s good to go now.
