Currently taking the indie soul world by storm is a lovely tune from WATERLOO 9. Their song is ‘Just Make A Wish’ and it features a sumptuous soul vocal from Linda B. For the moment it’s only out on promo but it’s already huge having been discovered by Pete Collins and championed by Dave Fleming and Kev Edwards.
The song comes in two mixes…. A “Stomp” mix and a Nigel Lowis mix and there’s nothing to choose between them – both equally excellent. Two examples of those rare recordings where every element just sounds right. You can’t say exactly why it’s so good – it just is!
Don’t know too much about Waterloo 9 and the lovely Linda B right now but we’d love to know more. If we had a “Record Of The Week” this would be it!
