Few details are to hand but it seems that sometime drummer in Graham Central Station… WILLIE SPARKS, dubbed “Wild Willie”, has died.
Drummer Sparks was playing in Oakland band, Hot Chocolate when Larry Graham quit Sly and the Family Stone in 1972. Graham then joined Hot Chocolate and renamed them Graham Central Station. Sparks stayed with the band till 1979 playing on their first two, acclaimed albums.
After leaving the band he became an in-demand session drummer.
