London’s Soul Brother label is reissuing three in-demand WILLIE HUTCH albums this month – the late Motown singer-songwriter’s ’70s LPs ‘Fully Exposed,’ ‘Mark Of The Beast‘ and ‘Ode To My Lady,’ which have all been remastered for release.
March also sees an in-store signing at Soul Brother’s Putney shop by compiler/DJ GINGER TONY and the Soul Unsigned label’s head honcho PHIL DRIVER for the compilation ‘Jump Start Music Volume 2’ (see SJF’s review of the set in our review’s section). The duo will be appearing on Saturday March 19th between 12 noon and 3:00 pm. (read SJF’s interview with Ginger Tony at our interview pages).
Looking forward to April, JOHN MORALES will visit Soul Brother’s shop on Saturday 9th at 1pm to sign copies of ‘M+M Mixes Vol 2.’ Read the review of his album at SJF.
On Saturday the 16th April – which coincides with National Record Store Day – Soul Brother will have an exclusive vinyl release of GIL SCOTT-HERON’S ‘It’s Your World.’ It’s the first time the track has been released as a 45 and each copy is a numbered limited edition.
The same day, US neo-soul singer CONYA DOSS drops in to Soul Brother to sign copies of her new CD, ‘Blue Transition.’
