Back in February WILL DOWNING, “The Prince of Sophisticated Soul”, impressed with his wonderful album ‘Pieces’ (the great man’s 26th studio set!). Amongst the highlights was ‘Love On You’ which proffered intriguing and clever syncopation behind the Mr D’s velvet vocal.
Maybe it was that interesting syncopation that has encouraged Will and his team to have the track remixed for single release and its due soon.
To create something a little different acclaimed percussionist/keyboardist/mixer/producer Paris Cesvette has been brought in, and, boy, she really does beef things up. She’s added plenty of new beats mixing house vibes with disco flourishes whilst the seductive vocals are retained by exec producer WD. You’re sure to love the almost Barry White vocal intro too. This new ‘Love On You’ is something a wee bit different from Will but still top quality – but you’d expect that wouldn’t you?
