WHERE WOULD I BE?

Alabama-born, Gospel reared soulstress KIM TIBBS is new(ish) name to the European soul crowd, though (and I’m sure she won’t mind us saying this) she’s something of a seasoned veteran with a 30 year music CV. Over the years Ms T has worked with people like Billy Ray Cyrus, The Blind Boy of Alabama, Noel Gourdin, Percy Sledge, Bobby Rush, Bobby Bland, Paul Rogers of Bad Company, The Hi-Rhythm Section of Memphis, The Swampers of Muscle Shoals, Keke Wyatt, Dr. Lonnie Smith, and Felix Cavaliere of the Rascals. Yes, quite a list but it was her lovely 2017 ‘Kim’ album that really ignited her solo career. Released on UK label, Expansion, it showcased Kim’s remarkable soul range and showed vocals skills acquired over almost three decades!

The good news is that Ms T is working on a new album – ‘THE SCiENCE OF COMPLETiON VOLUME 1 (T.S.O.C.V.1)’, from which a single is set for release on March 21st. Previews reveal that said single, ‘Where Would I Be Without You’ is a gorgeous slab of up-tempo, contemporary soul  that’s perfect for the singer’s convincing vocal delivery. Kim has already enjoyed a string of UK Soul Charts #1s  and, with confidence, we can predict that ‘Where Would I be Without You’ is sure to emulate  those achievements. For sure, it ticks all the boxes that the discerning, sophisticated contemporary soul crowd demand and it will be available in association with Black Orchid Records, Soulfood Music, Izipho Soul Records and AWAL/Sony on March 21st.
