It’s a question that’s been posed long and often… ‘Where Is The Love?’. Latest soulster to ask the question is JOHN REID. (above). Proud Scotsman, John is a proper soul veteran who has a great CV. He’s been a soul DJ and fronted his own band, the NIGHTCRAWLERS who enjoyed plenty of action with ‘Push The Feeling’ and ‘Surrender Your Love’. John then focused on song writing… very successfully, we need to say.
By 2018 he was back with the Nightcrawlers band and right now he’s preparing the release of an album, ‘Soul Sessions Vol. 2’ under his own name. We’ve already enjoyed a couple of preview singles and this ‘Where Is The Love?’ is the third. It’s a new song which was produced by Michael J McEvoy, one of the famed the Boogie Back boys. Right away then you know, that the song is going to be a proper, soulful outing – and it is – perfect for the more sedate dancers amongst us!
John says: “’Where is the Love’ is my love letter to some of the soulful sounds that have inspired me throughout my career. I wanted to capture the essence and magic of the Philadelphia soul sound and infuse it with my own experiences and emotions.” Check it out to see if he’s succeeded!
