THE GENE CABERRA BAND is a Berlin-based trio. They are guitarist/vocalist Gene Caberra, bassist René Flächsenhaar and drummer Mathias Uredat and between them they peddle a version of tough, gritty blue-eyed soul with a touch of Americana which is evidenced on their latest single, ‘When You’re Gone’ which is taken from their upcoming album ‘Patchwork’ – named, we’re told for the way the band work – using a variety of styles and influences.
