While we wait for the highly anticipated new JOSÉ JAMES album – ‘No Beginning No End 2’ (out March 6 on his own label Rainbow Blonde Records), the man offers another hors d’oeuvre in the form of the Prince flavoured beater ‘You Know What It Do’. Mr J describes the catchy cut as his homage to the Minneapolis Funk he grew up with and it will tingle the aural taste buds (if such things exists!) in anticipation for the parent album.
For ‘No Beginning No End 2’ Jose revisits the inspiration and ideas of his 2013 collection ‘No Beginning No End’. Indeed the new title says it all and the 12 tracker, we’re told, features input from people like Laura Mvula, Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah, Ledisi, Lizz Wright, Erik Truffaz, Hindi Zahra, Taali and Aloe Blacc
