For her latest album soul/pop and jazz chanteuse WENDY MOTEN has recorded a full-blown country set. She’s no newcomer to the genre. In fact for the past 20 years or so she’s lived in Nashville and worked with people like Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Martina Mc Bride and Vince Gill. And indeed it’s Gill who’s the producer of Wendy’s new  album, ‘I’ve Got You Covered’ which offers new readings of many country classics like Bobby Gentry’s ‘Ode to Billie Joe’, George Jones’ ‘Walk Through This World With Me’ and Tammy Wynette’s ‘Til I Get It Right’ which is already winning airplay Stateside.

Wendy’s biggest hit, of course, was ‘Come In Out Of The Rain’ and in her busy career she’s worked with soul and jazz luminaries like Peabo Bryson, Kirk Whalum and Larry Carlton. Now, though, it seems she’s found a new niche in country. ‘I’ve Got You Covered’ is out now.
