Last year ROACHFORD kind of made a comeback with his ‘Encore’ album… his look at a great selection of soul classics. You may remember his treatment of ‘Family Affair’ (in all kinds of mixes) was rather big!
Right now another of the album’s tunes has been given a mix makeover. Song in question is Bill Withers’ ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’ and the mix meister is a certain Brian Powers. Big Bri takes the usually sombre tune into soulful house territory and, we’re told, Mr R has revocalled the track which also features some great tinkling vibes.
