Brooklyn born soul and jazz trumpet man, DAVE GUY (he’s worked with people like Lee Fields, Sharon Jones and the Daps Kings, the Roots, the Menahan Street Band and the more eclectic Budos Band) continues to build momentum for the release of his September album ‘Ruby’ with another quality single, ‘Pinky Ring’.
This one begins in mediative fashion with sleepy synths behind Dave’s Chris Botti-flavoured horn before incorporating more complexity. Mr G describes the sound as “autumnal musing”. Agree/disagree by checking out the tune for yourself!
