‘Lifted’ is the title of the upcoming album from TROMBONE SHORTY (Troy Andrews). It’s set for release on April 29th on Blue Note Records and it’s the New Orleans musician’s first album in five years.
Whilst we wait expectantly for the ten track, Chris Seefried-produced LP, we can enjoy the first single – a big, busy ‘Come Back’. Lyrically the song is a lovelorn plea; musically, that plea is set over tight, contemporary R&B beats. This energy-driven ‘Come Back’ packs an awful lot in. It bodes well for the album!
