JOEY NEGRO (aka Dave Lee) is a big, big player on the UK soul and dance scene. One of his most cherished projects is his ZED RECORDS set up…. for a long time, a purveyor of real top quality soul and dance music.

Well good old Joey’s about to reach a landmark –the 200th release on ZED! For the occasion he’s chosen to cover TS Monk’s classic ‘Candidate For Love’ and to help him deliver a dose of dance floor magic he’s enlisted the Horse Meat Disco crew. Between them, they’ve worked up two fab mixes – featuring vocalists Diane Charlemagne and Donna Gardier.

There’s little to choose between the two tweaks – Joey’s own ‘Disco Blend’ is a classic dance groove (with just a hint of ‘I Feel Love’ about it) while the Horsemeat mix is a tad sleazier –and nothing wrong with that!
