Latest single from BINKY WOMACK (Curtis Womack’s son and, naturally, the nephew of Bobby Womack) is a slinky, sensuous ballad, ‘Vitaman B’ (yes, that’s the spelling on the label!). Binky says that the song is about how love needs sustenance; those feelgood, treat-you-right, bedtime moments that nourish the body with the vitamins it needs. So (I’m guessing) that the mis-spelling refers to needing a “man” while the “B” indicates that the man has to be Binky!
Sonically, this vitamin tablet is a lush production with lovely vocal support from the Womack Sisters (daughters of Cecil and Linda Womack). There’s some biting guitar, a gruff lead vocal and a catchy melody – all echoing dear old Bobby Womack.
