VICTOR DAVIES is British singer/songwriter whose last album (we think) was released in 2019 – a collaboration with Mika Urbaniak. His best known album, though, is 2006’s ‘Hear The Sound’. Now for reasons never best explained, one of that LP’s key cuts is being repromoted. It’s a gentle, lithe, Latin shuffle whose USP is the input from Brazilian icon Bebel Gilberto. The vocal pairing is bob on and the cut’s is lazy and laid back – but with Ms G involved you’d except that.
The label, Boomtang, tell us that the release is to start a campaign for Mr D as he’s releasing new material next year. Now we know!
