Last month we reported on a then upcoming 7” release from SOUL DIRECTION. The disc paired two vintage sides from the legendary VAN McCOY as performer… ‘Sing Yeah, Sing’ and ‘Wait Till I Get You In My Arms’.
It’s thought that both tracks were originally cut as demos when the aspiring songwriter was working for the April Blackwood Music publishing company. ‘Sing Yeah, Sing’ first surfaced as an acetate in 1977 and eventually became a big sound on the UK soul scene while ‘Wait Till I Get You In My Arms’ is better known in the classic Major Lance version.
