‘Uptown Blues’ is the debut single from BIG FUNK FACTORY and it’s taken from an upcoming album, ‘Factory sample’ which were told is to be a concept set – the ” tangled story of manufactured pop creations with confused image problems, ill-advised solo projects and acrid comments on the state of the music business in the late 90’s”.
Sounds interesting … we’ll wait and see. In the meantime, the ‘Uptown Blues’ single is a satisfying modern funk tune that owes a little to Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk’ as a well as the dear old Average White Band! It’s available right now … and it also come in that new fanged thing called vinyl!
