House heads will be very familiar with the talents of powerhouse vocalist, KATHY BROWN. What they may not know is that Ms Brown is currently fighting an epic battle with cancer. Kathy is currently undergoing a course of radiotherapy and immunotherapy, and the road ahead is going to be a challenge unlike any she has faced before.
Kathy and her family are now facing the harsh reality of what this means – not only the physical and medical challenges, but also the many financial ones. Like most artists who have devoted their careers to dance music, without being able to perform, Kathy has never made major bucks, thus she now feels the need to ask for help.
Kathy’s daughter Chanta Joyner has set up a GoFundMe to help support the family at this extremely difficult time. To aid the fundraising effort, Toolroom Records have announced a charity single from Wh0, Mark Knight & James Hurr featuring Kathy’s iconic vocals titled, ‘Turn Me Deeper’. The single focuses on good times, which is what Kathy’s music has always been about.
All the original writers have allocated all publishing earnings, with the artists and Toolroom also pledging all of their royalties to help get Kathy the best treatment possible.
