THE TRUE LOVES are a Seattle based funk and soul combo. They have worked as the backup band for Grace Love but their best known outing in their own right is their 2017 set ‘Famous Last Words’ – an 8 track instrumental set that offered gritty, loose, loping, busy, brassy funk .
Stand out tracks were the title tune (massive percussion breaks here), the Northern soul inspired ‘C C Stomp’ and ‘A Love That’s True’ – the LP’s slowest track featuring a down and dirty Memphis feel.
