Connoisseurs of current soul and jazz will know all about Dutch band TRISTAN. Founded back in 2003 they’ve long been mainstays of the Netherlands music scene. Last year their album ‘Full Power’ made waves right across Europe. The set was a great mix of contemporary grooves garnished with flavours from soul’s garlanded past … little wonder the set was chosen by Jazz FM as an ‘Album Of The Week’.

The band are currently putting the finishing touches to a follow up LP – ‘2nd Phase’. The album’s slated for a March release but in the meantime you can enjoy a taster via the lead single – ‘Finally Found’ which features the mighty tones of Atlanta-based soul man Heston.

The tune’s a fab slab of classy modern soul with a jazzy flavour and Heston’s Leon Ware style vocal is a perfect foil to the delicate tones of regular Tristan vocalist Evelyn Kallansee… a duet pairing made you know where! The cut also features some great horn work and all’s set fair for the album!
