TOPS SHUFFLE…

alt

US soul sites are reporting a personnel change within the ranks of the FOUR TOPS. It seems that the Tops have replaced lead singer Harold “Spike” Bonhart with J. Alexander “Lex” Morris, a minister with a powerful voice who also runs Los Angeles based J. Alexander Morris Ministries. Bonhart had joined the Tops in 2011, replacing long-time member and former Temptations singer Theo Peoples. The Tops now consist of founding member the ever-lovely Abdul “Duke” Fakir, Roquel Payton (son of original member Lawrence Payton), the wonderful Ronnie McNeir and newbie J. Alexander “Lex” Morris. “Lex” is pictured above, far right.
