STEPHANIE is an Aussie songbird. She works out of Melbourne but also commutes to Los Angeles where she worked with Preston Glass on her album, ‘Life Lessons’. One of the key tracks was ‘If I Told You’ and the cut has proved popular, so much so that the ever dependable Nigel Lowis was called in to give it the remix treatment. Out Nige saw the tune as a potential dance floor filler so he’s clamped Steph’s vocals over a riff that sounds uncannily like the familiar riffing on Donna Summer’s ‘I Feel Love’.
This won’t be everyone’s cup of soul tea but for dancers in certain sorts of clubs, the track sure has legs!
