This weekend is Blackpool’s LUXURY SOUL WEEKENDER time . The event, of course, marks the official release of the accompanying compilation album and the 2002 LUXURY SOUL compliation is shaping up to be one of the best.
Amongst the new album’s featured cuts are Cornell CC Carter’s ‘Not Possible’, Will Downing’s ‘Say Yes’ and Jarrod Lawson’s ‘Be The Change’. Right now it seems that all the big soul stations are revisiting ‘The Lightness of Love’ from Alvin Garret with input from Kim Scott.
This lovely track first surfaced last March and was taken from the Alabama-born-and-raised preacher’s son’s 7 track mini album. It now rightly takes centre stage on the Luxury Soul collection.
‘LUXURY SOUL 2022’ is a 35 track, 3 CD collection and can be pre-ordered via Expansion, Simply Soul and Soul Brother.
