Proper soul dancers know and love JACKIE MOORE’S ever-lovely ‘This Time Baby’. It was a proper disco tune… that’s to say, perfect for dancers yet with an exorbitantly high soul quotient. (I love the O’Jays’ version, too!) Over the years Ms Moore’s tune has made comeback after comeback…most notably in a remarkable Mike Mauro mix.

Well, now, right on time for the big party season it’s sort of back with us again. ‘This Time Baby’ has been given a makeover by the always busy DJ SPEN who’s drafted in DAVID ANTHONY to produce and LISA MILLET to sort the Jackie Moore/Eddie Levert vocal parts.

The cut is taken from David’s new album ‘Emotive’ and in Ms Millet he’s found as singer who can do him proud in the soul delivery department!
