CLIFF JAMES (in his CJ’s Connection alter ego) has returned to the musical fray with a tasty slab of retro-flavoured soul, ‘She’s Got Me Thinking’.
The tune is actually a collaboration with another blue-eyed Brit soulster, STUART MATHER. Together, Stu and Cliff have crafted an 80s inspired groove that pays homage to artists like Mtume and the SOS Band.
Lyrically the song is a tale of 2 guys, both in a relationship with the same woman and both with suspicions that she is being less than faithful with them. But it’s the retro-flavoured Hugh Williams’ production that is the star of this show. Out now!
