Some intriguing news… MARK MORRISON returns (with or without the Mack) with a new label – MackLife Records. The first release, we think, features the Portuguese, UK-based artist RHEA SUN with an interesting and unusual song ‘Train’. We say “unusual” because it’s made up of seemingly disparate ingredients but as they come together, they gel beautifully.
The whole thing begins with some acoustic Spanish style guitar (Ms Sun is from Portugal… near enough for me!), then some tight beats kick in creating a 90’s soul vibe before the lazy, laid back vocal caresses the lyric. Production is down to Shaun Bailey and this ‘Train’ is definitely worth getting on board. It’s already being tipped for the top – a trajectory that will grow as an upcoming Brian Power mix is unleashed soon.
