THE RIOT JAZZ BAND are a Manchester based music collective that since forming in the early noughties have been totally in-demand at some of the best festivals and dance arenas throughout the land. Their music is a quirky mix of dub-step, drum n bass and hip hop delivered in good old brass band fashion!
They call their sound ‘Aggro Jazz” and you can hear it in full flight on ‘Incoming’ – their second long player to be released on Riot Jazz Records in November.
The tunes on ‘Incoming’ are all self-penned and enlivened by the presence of rapper MC Chunky who offers all kinds of quick witted asides throughout the album.
