Latest release from SPLASH BLUE RECORDS features Jamiroquai keyboardist MATT JOHNSON. Fans of the band will know that Johnson joined the band in 2002 replacing original member Toby Smith.
Occasionally Matt strikes out on his own as on this upcoming single, ‘Place In My Heart’. Though it develops into a tight, little dancer, the tune has an ethereal quality – partly down to the almost other-worldly vocals from Roki.
Johnson adds sparkling, jazzy keyboard fills while Jamiroquai compatriot Derrick McKenzie handles the beat with Rob Harris on guitar and bass.
