Over the last few years modern Chicano soul outfit, Thee Sinseers have made quite a name for themselves with their quite lovely blend of early soul, low rider soul balladeering, contemporary R&B alongside a small garnish of ska and reggae.
The band boast a remarkable lead singer in JOEY QUIÑONES and right now Joey is gearing up to promote a solo single, ‘There Must Be Something’.
The tune and whole production has its roots deep in early soul. It reminds me a lot of the music on that wonderful album ‘The Temptations Sing Smokey’ – and I guess we can’t offer higher praise than that! The lowrider scene will love it – as, indeed, will all self-respecting, proper soul fans. See for yourself.
