‘Perfect Weather’ might not be the best way to describe what’s going on right now, but that’s the forecast from Canadian born but now London based SANDRA-MAE LUX.
Earlier this year we highlighted two singles from lady who boasts a degree in jazz studies! They were ‘You Me And Tomorrow’ and ‘I’m Still Here’ both of which pleasantly sat on the cusp of smooth jazz and sophisticated blue-eyed soul
Ms L now follows up with the equally beguiling ‘Perfect Weather’. This one’s a little jazzier – in the manner of, say, Norah Jones and/or Astrud Gilberto and while we’re talking the late Ms Gilberto, Sandra’s ‘Perfect Weather’ boasts some sweet and lovely sax lines à la Sta Getz… and it’s Ms Lux playing… clever girl! This one’s out July 19th.
