At the back end of last year, UK singer/songwriter, ALICE RUSSELL released her first new music for something like ten years. It was  a sombre and reflective  ‘Rain’. Produced alongside long-time collaborator TM Juke, it was a very personal song addressing the urgent need for us all to be self-reflective. At the start of 2024 Alice reissued the song in a new, brighter mix from Tru Thoughts label-mate WheelUP (aka West London’s Danny Wheeler.)

Alice now follows that with another melancholic, introspective cut, ‘Gravity. Another TM Juke production, this features a quasi-classical orchestral arrangement – fitting the lyrical message that truth and love are things worth fighting for.

Both ‘Rain’ and ‘Gravity’ are taken from Ms R’s highly anticipated upcoming album ‘I Am’. We’re told that the long player  will be her most personal album to date, but you’d guess that from the two singles.
