STUART MATHER is one half of soul duo MATHER & KINGDON whose 2015 LP ‘Life’s So Sweet’ was a big UK favourite. Sources tell us there’s a follow-up on the way but the duo are also pursuing solo endeavours and Stuart, who just uses his surname, Mather, is almost ready to drop his own solo album, ‘No Looking Back’.

We’ve already enjoyed two singles from the set, ‘Butterflies’ and ‘This Is Serious’ and now, just prior to the LP’s launch, we can enjoy a third single… a Mather re-work of Ron Matlock’s much-loved 1979 oldie ‘I Can’t Forget About You’. The new version is just a tad different to the original but it retains the catchy, building instrumental hook. And the good news is that label, DSG have commissioned a slightly faster remix, courtesy of top Aussie Kiss FM radio/club DJ/Producer Ken At Work. Watch this one take the modern soul scene by storm!

Mr at Work has also remixed one of the upcoming album’s key cuts…. ‘It Was All Just A Game’, but more of that when the long player hits the sales racks.

In the meantime you can grab Mather’s ‘I Can’t Forget About You’ from a download site near you any time soon!
