You’ll know the name DAWN JOSEPH. She’s a top session singer, she’s worked with the Brand New Heavies and is one half of MF Robots and she also makes her own occasional solo forays – as she did at the back end of last year with her ‘Up Front’ EP.
One of the focus cuts was the meaty, beaty ‘Imitation Love’ which, in the modern way, has just been re-released in a new mix. The man at the controls for the new tweak is GEORGIE B (yes, he of the Groove Association) and he ups the ante with new flavours that will get the old head nodding, the aching feet tapping and the varicose veined legs dancing if you have the inclination! Little wonder that this new mix is already winning plenty of plays on the best soul stations… a good ‘un!
