Fast approaching 60 years together, the mightily wonderful DELLS have just released their latest album. It’s called ‘Then And Now’ and has been issued on the group’s own label, Dells Way Records. The collection boasts nine tracks – four of which are brand new recordings. They are ‘Don’t Tell Her About Me’, ‘Free to Be Free’, ‘Can’t Wait’ and the BOBBY MILLER-penned ‘When Will We’. The other five cuts variously appeared on two of the outfit’s previous LPs – ‘The Second Time’ and ‘Reminiscing’. Throughout, the sound is unmistakably DELLS with the fivesome – MARVIN JUNIOR, JOHNNIE CARTER, CHUCK BARKSDALE, VERNE ALLISON and MICHAEL McGILL in fine harmonic form – as ever.
