THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT….

Louisville-born Johnny Britt is a soul and jazz multi-tasker. He’s singer, songwriter, producer, trumpeter, arranger and composer. Modern soul connoisseurs will recognize his name for the work he did with Impromp2. Aside from that gig Mr B has a really impressive CV. He’s worked with people  Josh Groban, David Bowie, Jennifer Lopez, The Temptations, Maxwell, Peabo Bryson, Quincy Jones, Luther Vandross, Dionne Warwick, Kashif, Norman Connors and he’s also in-demand to supply music for TV.

Right now Johnny is putting the finishing touches to a new album, his sixth as a soloist. The LP is ‘After We Play’ , due March, but to whet appetites our man is releasing a gorgeous single, ‘Butterflies’. Written by Johnny and his son, Josh, the song is a classic late night romantic ballad. Smooth, sophisticated and soulful, such is Johnny’s status that he can call on a big name to help him deliver. And in the world of smooth, sophisticated soul, there’s no bigger name than Will Downing. Will and Johnny’s    vocals meld beautifully and Johnny’s mellifluous, muted  horn break towards the end adds extra romantic spice,.

Johnny and his team are aiming ‘Butterflies’ at the Valentine’s Day market , so it wins release on all digital formats February 10th.
