‘The Burning Bush’ is an exciting and ambitious new music project from NIGEL HALL and DJ HARRISON. Nigel is the keysman and vocalist in jazz/funk band, Lettuce while Harrison works with Virginia jazzers, Butcher Brown. The duo have come together to celebrate their love and respect for the iconic band, Earth Wind And Fire; thus the upcoming LP that is ‘The Burning Bush’ delivers the pair’s unique take on a selection of EWF classics.
The album-heralding single has just been released – it’s a cover of EWF’s 1976 eponymous namesake track ‘Earth, Wind and Fire’. This new rendition is slightly faster than the original but it retains the original’s soaring, ethereal vocals and lush string parts that have here been translated to synth pads.
