Great news for proper soul lovers! The mighty TEMPTATIONS are back in the studio preparing a new album to (belatedly) celebrate their 60th anniversary and as a taster they’ve just released a single – a classic, old school ballad, ‘Is It Gonna Be Yes Or No’.
More good news? The single was written by and features SMOKEY ROBINSON – who of course worked with the Tempts for many, many years; indeed he wrote all their early hits!
‘Is It Gonna Be Yes Or No,’ seems set to become another Temptations’ classic – sweet harmonies, beautiful melody and sensitive, soulful lead vocals. The tune might remind you of the Tempts’ own ‘Just My Imagination’, Smokey’s ‘Just My Soul Responding’ and even Quincy Jones’ ‘Secret Garden’ – yes, it is that good and augers well for the album.
