TAKE THE KNEE!

You might not yet know the name MARSHAYNE but you soon will while those with good memories will sure remember his previous incarnation. You see, back in the day Marshayne performed and recorded as WAYNE “G SPOT” MARSHALL and as such he was in the vanguard of new age Brit soul.  His hits included ‘Vibes And Tribulations’, ‘Gimme Your Love’  and ‘G-Spot’ – a soul no. 1 and the source of his nickname.

Since then, Wayne has gone on to work with people like Black Slate, Frankie Paul, Dennis Brown, The Jones Girls, Marcia Griffiths, Ken Boothe, Black Street, Omar, Caron Wheeler, Beenie Man, Jodeci and many more. However, he now feels the time is right for a rebranding and a renaissance that is bound to come with his latest single ‘I Kneel For You’.

Sound wise, the cut is creative and innovative – totally original but bob on the current contemporary UK soul/R&B vibe. As you might infer from the title (and the cover art work) the lyrics might be considered a little risqué – but, c’mon, it’s 2021! In it’s “Soul Shakedown” mix, ‘I Kneel For You’ is already getting great response via its radio airings and it’s gearing up to become one of summer’s BIG tunes. Welcome back Marshayne/Wayne!
