FREEDUST is a Barcelona based music duo who impressed with their last outing, the catchy ‘Heat’. They now follow that with a double A sider, ‘Take Me There’/’Beleedat’.
‘Take Me There’ is a laid back affair with a cool femme vocal over a jazzy, chilled out backing. Don’t know where it is, but where she wants to be taken sounds cool! ’Beleedat’( no idea about that title!) is very different. It’s Freedust’s take on hip-hop, though I’d hesitate to call it rap. It’s more a rhythmic, spoken word piece over a quirky backing track that has its own charm and despite the Barcelona location it’s in English. Out now via Danca Records.
