ABI FLYNN is one of the UK’s top session and backing vocalists (gigs include stints with Soul II Soul, George Clinton and Roy Ayers) but her career trajectory was sadly threatened when she was diagnosed with cancer! Now through the worst of the storm (thankfully) Abi is focusing on a solo career, working on an EP… ‘Get Deep’.
And from that mini album, Abi’s just released a single as a taster with the self-explanatory title ‘Courage’. Released on Bluey Maunick’s Splash Blue label (and he knows a good singer when he hears one!), the song is a soulful testament to self-empowerment, faith, positivity and yes – courage in the face of adversity – no matter what form that might take! ‘Courage’ will be available via Splash Blue from July 10th.
