‘One More Chance’ is the latest single from a New York based singer and multi-instrumentalist named NYGEL D. ROBINSON.
Nygel actually hails from North Carolina but working the clubs and venues in and around the Big Apple, he’s making quite a name for himself. Indeed his shows at the famous Bitter End night spot won rave reviews, with some commentators drawing comparisons to Gregory Porter whilst others made reference to John Legend. On the evidence of ‘One More Chance’ Nygel sounds like neither of those stars. He’s his own man…. and yes, there’s a jazzy flavour about the tune (Porter) alongside a cool contemporary soul vibe (Legend) but it’s a sound out on its own.
‘One More Chance’ is a Robinson collaboration with songwriter Barry Anderson and it was recorded at the Hollow Spirit Studios. It’s available right now.
