It was back in March that the soul world enjoyed a new album from “MR BAILEY”… ‘Love @ 43’. We learned that Mr B as the working name of Jason Lee Bailey – a soul and gospel singer from Sheffield, Yorkshire.
Jason grew up in gospel and has an impressive CV as a session singer – reflected in the quality of his long player. The main flavour was tasteful, neo-soul but many radio and club jocks went for the “bonus track” – a gentle, foot tapper with a hint of jauntiness…. ‘Sunny Day’. Now that very track is being serviced as a new single and if you don’t already know it, it’s worth seeking out if you’re in need of a generous slice of optimism!
