Texas-born, old school blues and soul man SUGARAY RAYFORD is gearing up to unleash his new album, ‘Human Decency’ – due June 14th via Forty Below Records. Previews reveal that the LP is a big, raw melding of soul, blues and gospel (logical, given our man’s background) and we’ve already enjoyed one single – the powerful, Stax -flavoured Ain’t That A Man’.
Now as we await the album, Sugaray’s team have just released another taster single and ‘Stuck Between’ is another explosive affair! This is a proper old school, funky blast and it’s actually a duet with SAM MORROW and they come on like a 21st century Sam and Dave.
The song, by the way examines a modern predicament – the conflicts of man vs machine, man vs. himself and man vs. the environment, but like we said the soulful soundscape is proper old school!
