Canada’s NICKY LAWRENCE is a media/arts multitasker. She describes herself as “a forward thinking innovator, singer, songwriter, actor, playwright and director” and she’s made a name for herself in and around Toronto for her critically acclaimed theatrical production – ‘Ugly Black Woman’. On October 18 to coincide with Black History Month. Ms L will be releasing “the album of the show” – we’re guessing a soundtrack sort of thing.
We’ve already enjoyed one preview single – a powerful and dramatic neo-soul ‘Doormat’. Nicky now follows that with an equally urgent ‘Middle’.
