Last month THE DESCENDANTS – a collective made up of MATT COOPER (who’s worked with Incognito and Gilles Peterson as well as having a reepcted solo portfolio), JEFF COOPER (his dad and music business veteran), and JOHNNY PRIMED – released a clever ‘Telling Lies’ with sweet and committed vocal from MAZEN BEDWEI. Released on F*CLR Records, it also came in a North Street West remix which gave it a Charles Stepney-ish vibe.
Proving you can’t keep a good tune down, it’s back amongst us again in a new “JP Unplugged” version – “JP” being Johnny Primed! JP gives ‘Telling Lies’ a whole new perspective, harking back to his time at The Ministry of Sound and as part of ‘Aqualise’.
