Back in January Mozambiuqe-born, but Denmark-based musician SUFIANO (real name Helder Da Costa Sufiano) released a sweet, summery Latin groove, ‘Ridin’ High’. It won a few plays but then dropped off the radar – maybe the deep dark winter wasn’t the best time for a lithe and light groove like that one!
Whatever, now the sun’s out (occasionally) Sufiano’s team are re-promoting the track and it really is a high summer sort of thing! Its sweet samba flavours and Brazilian vibe put it in the same sort of category as Light Of The World’s evergreen ‘ Bahia’. Yes, it’s a quality cut – mind you, it should be our man’s served some of his apprenticeship with music greats like Philly’s Larry Gold! Out now.
